Rachel is a community acupuncture enthusiast who began her practice in 2016. She  completed her 3-year acupuncture program in Victoria, British Columbia at Pacific Rim College. 

​

"I first encountered community acupuncture in 2011 and knew I had stumbled across something game-changing. I was riveted  by the shared treatment room concept - this place where people could walk their own healing path but do so in the energetic company of others. And I loved the commitment to affordability and patient access. It was all so simple, so clear, so generous. I knew this was what I wanted to do, and what I wanted to build and create somewhere someday."

Returning home to Ontario, Rachel worked as a staff acupuncturist at Toronto Community Acupuncture and Toronto Acupuncture Studio. Her dream to open a clinic in a new city and help spread the community acupuncture movement more widely across Canada was sown early in her vision of practice. Rachel moved to Ottawa and opened OCA’s doors in May 2019. A community acupuncture room, with folks resting and healing peacefully together, is still one of her favourite places to be - even 12,000+ treatments later.
